Call for Nomination: Travel Support

The organization committee is pleased to inform participants that the following organizations and university provide support to hold 7ILC conference.
  Inoue Foundation for Science (HP only in Japanese)  650,000 JPY
  Kajima Foundation (HP only in Japanese) 500,000 JPY
  Tropical Biosphere Research Center, University of the Ryukyus  500,000 JPY
We will use all of these to support travels of plenary speakers, symposium organizers, or younger researchers who do not have any grants or official supports or fellowships to be used for their trip. 
The amount of support provided to a participant is only a part of the total travel fee and may vary based on  status and origin of travel.  The support will transferred to the bank account of the awardees through the office of the University of the Ryukyus that help the admin process of the conference.

We chose six participants to award the travel support in the 1st Period selection in March.  We now open the 2nd peroid call for nomination by the end of May.If you are interested in receiving the travel support, please nominate yourself in the web-form below.  Perople who nominated to the 1st Period selection are already in the list and don't have to send their information again.

Travel Support for participants to 7ILC

Organizing Committee Members of 7ILC are making efforts to get financial support from some organizations in Japan that may help travel of some participants (especially younger researchers) to attend 7ILC. We are doing our best and will inform you when we get a bit of luck.  According to the application schedules for those supports, we may have the results after April 2018 for others. The rates of acceptance are not very high (about 10% for some supports), and we do need luck.

We recommend the participants to seek for travel supports in their own country. We will provide a letter of acceptance according to the schedule shown on the page for "Registration and Payment".
 

JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research in Japan: Short-term Program

Japanese Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) now open a call for applicants for a fellowship that may provide chances to participants to 7ILC. The program provides Ph.D. students or Ph.D. researchers in Europe and North America with opportunities to conduct collaborative research under the guidance of their hosts in universities and other Japanese institutions for a relatively short period. A person who has never engaged in research at universities etc. in Japan would be most preferable.
